We open the week in Asia with Gross Domestic Product (GDP) data from Japan and Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation data from China, both landing early hours Monday. Later in the morning, we move to the UK with Manufacturing, Industrial Production and GDP data being released at 09:30 (BST).

We stay within Europe on Tuesday for the UK Average Earnings Report and the Euro Zone ZEW survey. Such surveys have the potential to influence major European indices, so keep an eye on the German DAX throughout the day.

It’s over to the US on Wednesday for the release of their Producer Price Index figures an hour before market open. The FED’s Beige book report quickly follows providing an overall picture of growth in the world’s largest economy.

Thursday, however, may require you to hold onto your hat as we are graced with a whole raft of very high impact economic data. In the early hour's Australia report on their inflation expectations and employment, so be mindful of positions held overnight due to potential moves in the AUD.

In the morning German CPI inflation data lands at 08.00 (BST), however, this will potentially be the lowest impact release of the day as two major central banks unveil their latest stance on interest rates in the afternoon.

Firstly the Bank of England (BOE) deliver their interest rate decision along with the votes for and against, the minutes from the latest meeting, and their forward guidance on monetary policy. Midday could, therefore, be a highly volatile period for Sterling as a result.

Forty-five minutes later the European Central Bank (ECB) will follow suit delivering their interest rate decision at 12:45 (BST). During this time the all-important US inflation data (CPI) and jobless claims will be released stateside, so EUR/USD could be particularly volatile throughout the afternoon.

After all the weeks’ excitement, we close on Friday with US retail sales at 13:30 (BST) followed by the Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index report shortly after.

Of course, it goes without saying that fundamental updates regarding Brexit and the global US trade saga will be important to monitor throughout the week due to their influence on financial markets.
