European markets have opened lower this morning, as investors took advantage of the impressive gains in the previous session and preferred to book profits, amid renewed Eurozone debt concerns, after ECB policymaker Ewald Nowotny, in an interview with Austrian Profil magazine, stressed on the condition of Spain having to apply for a rescue package in order to be eligible for the ECB bond-buying program.
