Executive Board

John Wilson

John Wilson (Executive Chairman) has extensive experience managing substantial capital markets businesses for leading firms in Europe and Asia; specifically with UBS, Lehman Brothers and the London Stock Exchange. Prior to joining the financial industry in the mid 1980s, he was a management consultant. John has also started and subsequently sold a consulting business as well as holding various Board level positions. He holds a 1st Class Honours degree in Engineering from The University of Surrey and Master's and Doctorate degrees in Engineering from Clare College, Cambridge University.

Andrew Edwards

Andrew Edwards (Chief Executive Officer) has worked in the CFD industry for over 13 years. In his early career, Andrew worked at Deutsche Bank and then Dresdner Bank, subsequently spending 5 years at City Index as a senior Trader and later as Head of US equities. In 2003 Andrew joined ETX Capital as Head of Trading, was appointed MD in 2007 and Chief Executive Officer in early 2010. Andrew has a BSc from Bath University and has a MBA in International Business from Larenstein University in the Netherlands.

Marcus Scarlett

Marcus Scarlett (Chief Financial Officer) has worked in financial services in the City of London and abroad for over 30 years. He joined ETX Capital in 2012 from Marex Group, an investment of the JRJ Group, where he had been CFO since 2008. Prior to that Marcus had worked for 14 years as COO of the London branch of the Swedish merchant bank SEB, and for a number of other banking institutions in the years following his qualification with Arthur Andersen. Marcus has a degree in Mathematics from Exeter College, Oxford.

Non-Executive Directors

Robin Houldsworth

Robin Houldsworth has worked for 24 years in the city. He began his career at Tradition in 1987 where he progressed to a director in 1989 and held various executive positions within Compagnie Financière Tradition including president of Tradition New York and Tokyo. A former director of the Swiss Executive Board, he was President and CEO of global operations of CFT Lausanne and Viel and cie SA and CEO of Monecor (Tradindex). He holds a degree in law and is a barrister-at-law (Inner Temple) since 1986.

Peter Sugarman

Peter Sugarman is a partner and chief operating officer of JRJ Group, as well as a non-executive director of Marex Financial, the leading independent commodities and financial futures brokerage. He has spent over 25 years in the City, starting his career at JP Morgan in 1982 where he worked until 1998 in a variety of corporate finance and capital markets roles. From 1998-2001 he was co head of European structured finance at Rabobank. From 2001-2008 Peter worked for Lehman Brothers, both as European, then Global Head of the Strategic Transactions Group and then as Managing Director of the Insurance Advisory group, charged with building out Lehman's principal activities in the insurance and reinsurance arena. Peter has an MA from Cambridge University, where he studied History and then Law.

Joanna Nader

Joanna Nader is Chief Investment Officer and a partner at JRJ group. Prior to JRJ, Joanna was with Lehman Brothers from 2000 to 2008. She led Lehman Brothers' Equity research coverage of the European investment banks and European Specialty Financial sector. In 2007, she was appointed to the Office of the CEO Europe, Middle East & Asia Pacific. Previously, she held positions at Bank of Montreal and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce including roles within risk management, asset liability management, and economic research. Joanna holds BA and MA degrees in Economics from Queen's University, Canada, and is a CFA charter holder.

Ed Marlow

Ed Marlow is an English-qualified lawyer and a graduate in Law from Christ's College, Cambridge University. He was a partner for 18 years at Denton Wilde Sapte, a major international law firm based in the City, where his roles included head of the firm's Hong Kong banking practice and head of its PFI group. Ed is currently Of Counsel at the London office of a US-based law firm, where his practice covers the broad spectrum of banking and finance, representing banks and major corporations both in the UK and internationally.

Roger Nagioff

Roger Nagioff is a Founding Partner of JRJ Group. Prior to the establishment of JRJ Group, Roger held the position of Global Head of Fixed Income at Lehman Brothers, from 2007 to early 2008. Previous to that role, Roger served as Chief Operating Officer Europe, from 2004 to 2007. Roger joined Lehman Brothers in 1997 as Head of Equity Trading Europe, before being appointed Head of European Equities, in 1999, and Co-Head of Global Equities, in 2000. Before arriving at Lehman, Roger was responsible for risk management of several divisions, including European Equities, at NatWest Markets, which he joined in 1989.
